Mental Health Coaching in Glasgow and Online

Structure your mind. Reclaim your life.

Turn Your Goals into Action

You may already understand what you want to change. You may recognise certain patterns, know which habits are not helping, or understand what would support your mental wellbeing.

The difficult part can be putting that understanding into practice consistently.

Mental Health Coaching with The Missing Piece provides structured, practical support to help you work through recurring patterns, follow through with helpful strategies and build greater consistency in everyday life.

When Understanding Needs to Become Action

Sometimes you know what would help but find it difficult to maintain it.

You may overthink situations, return to familiar emotional or behavioural patterns, struggle to maintain helpful routines or lose consistency when everyday stress gets in the way.

Coaching focuses on what happens between knowing what may help and actually putting it into practice.

What Happens During Coaching?

Each session has a practical focus and connects to what happened previously.

Review

We look at what has happened since the last session. What did you try? What helped? What became difficult?

Focus

We work through a current pattern, obstacle or situation that is affecting your everyday mental wellbeing

Action

Together, we agree on a realistic action or strategy to work on before the next session.

Adjust

At the next session, we review what happened and adjust the approach based on what you learned.

This creates an ongoing process of review, action and adjustment, rather than simply discussing what you would like to change.

What You'll Gain

What We Can Work On

Mental Health Coaching can focus on practical patterns and behaviours that affect your everyday wellbeing, including:

  • Managing overthinking
  • Understanding recurring emotional patterns
  • Changing unhelpful behavioural patterns
  • Maintaining helpful routines
  • Managing everyday stress
  • Following through with agreed coping strategies
  • Building consistency
  • Developing accountability

The focus is on finding practical approaches that you can apply in your everyday life.

Building Consistency and Accountability

Making a change is often easier to understand than it is to maintain.

Regular coaching gives you an opportunity to review what happened, recognise what affected your progress and decide what to do next.

If something did not work as expected, we can look at why and adjust the approach rather than simply starting again.

The aim is to help you develop greater consistency and confidence in using helpful strategies independently.

Glasgow and Online Coaching

Mental Health Coaching is available in Glasgow and online, giving you flexibility to choose the format that suits your circumstances.

Mental Health Coaching or Mental Health Support?

If you already understand what you want to change but need structure and accountability to put it into practice, Mental Health Coaching may be suitable.

If you mainly need space to talk, make sense of what you are experiencing and find ways to manage daily life, Mental Health Support may be a better starting point.

Coaching and Clinical Treatment

Mental Health Coaching focuses on practical patterns, everyday mental wellbeing, coping strategies, consistency and accountability.

It does not provide diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychiatric care or replace clinical mental health treatment.

If you are experiencing significant or persistent mental health difficulties or need clinical care, you should seek support from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Life coaching is a forward-focused, action-oriented partnership. It helps you identify your goals, overcome obstacles, and create sustainable change in your life. You bring the drive — I bring the structure, accountability, and real-world experience to help you get where you want to be.

Coaching is collaborative — you’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to ask the right questions, offer perspective, and help you unlock your own solutions. Expect honest conversations, practical strategies, and someone who holds you accountable to the goals you set.

The first session is about getting to know each other and understanding where you are right now. We’ll discuss what brought you here, what you’re hoping to achieve, and whether coaching is the right fit for you. There’s no pressure — it’s a conversation. If we both feel it’s a good match, we’ll outline a coaching plan tailored to your goals.

Absolutely not. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from coaching. Whether you’re recovering from a difficult breakup, rebuilding after addiction, working through relationship challenges, or simply wanting to level up your life — coaching can help. The best time to start is when you recognise something needs to change and you’re ready to do the work.

This varies depending on your goals and commitment level. Some people notice shifts in perspective within the first few sessions. Others see tangible changes — better relationships, improved fitness, career progress — within 4-8 weeks of consistent work. The key is showing up, being honest, and taking action between sessions. Coaching works fastest when you’re actively engaged.

Yes, all coaching sessions are available online via video call, making it accessible whether you’re in Scotland or anywhere in the world. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person ones — you get the same level of attention, insight, and accountability. We can schedule sessions at times that work for you.
